Police). For accident data records (2006), a casualty for pedestrian (Royal Malaysia Police) includes
595 fatalities, 711 serious injured and 1,493 light injuries.
Total registered vehicle in the same year estimated at 15,790,732 vehicles whereas total Malaysian population (Statistical Department) at about 26,640,000 peoples.
Findings: Pedestrian death rates:
i) Pedestrian death per 100,000 people = 0.38
ii) Pedestrian death per 10,000 vehicles = 2.2
The conclusion is, please....follow the road sign have been provided...Yes, our fate have been fixed but at least, we can prevent an accident from happening. On top of that, please ,be careful while walking on the road.
